Day by Day break down

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali international airport

Greetings from Rwanda, the “land of a thousand hills,” where you can explore this stunning nation for the first time in your life.  Our company representative, or guide will come to pick you up and take you to your hotel upon arrival where you are to spend the night.

Day 2: Kigali City tour

As you begin your trip officially you will start with a city tour through the capital city of Rwanda; Kigali, in the midst of picturesque hills such a bustling and serene city. city’s order, cleanliness, and friendliness are appreciated by both residents and tourists. Begin your journey to Rwanda by touring this amazing cultural hub. It is also known for its award-winning museums, emerging music scene, and some of the most memorable eating experiences in East Africa. Kirimonko Market, the Nyamirambo Women’s Centre, the Presidential Museum, and the Kigali Genocide Memorial honoring the 1994 genocide are all included in today’s city trip.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe; Aziz to Nyanza

Transfer to the Aziz community after an early breakfast to discover its function in the community. Originally a Christian non-profit food assistance program, Azizi Life has grown to offer chances for business owners and craftspeople to take their enterprises global.

Here you will continue with to the Rwanda National Museum and Nyanza King’s Palace one of the memorial sites in Rwanda, the old Rwandan kingdom’s capital before the coming of the Europeans. Day 4: Canopy Walk in Nyanza

Head out to explore the forest canopy on paths erected high into trees after enjoying an early breakfast at the resort.  Continue to the remainder of the Igishigishigi Trail after learning about the significance of the jungle’s forest canopy and the creatures that call it home.  After that you are to go back to the lodge and have lunch.

After your mouth watering and stomach filing meal, learn about the cultivation of tea in the area by visiting the Gisakura tea plantation and factory in the afternoon.  Go back to the lodge to eat dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to Gisenyi (Lake Kivu)

Proceed to Lake Kivu in the morning, stopping at Kibuye for lunch at the Cormoran Lodge. With breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, the picturesque journey will go parallel to Lake Kivu. Enjoy a free evening after arriving in Gisenyi relaxing from the activities you have done and refreshing for the upcoming after you arrive late in the afternoon.

Day 6: Boat cruise and transfer to Volcanoes National Park (Ibyi Iwacu Village)

After having a relaxing breakfast by the lake, take a two-hour boat ride on Lake Kivu.  Admire the surrounding scenery, see native birds and wildlife, and observe traditional fishing boats going about their daily business.

After lunch at the resort, return for an afternoon cultural immersion tour of the Ibyi Iwacu village.  Many residents of the community, which depends on tourism for its existence, were once poachers and now teach tourists about their traditional rural culture and way of life.  A tour of the hamlet, local music, several traditional dances, family cooking, a visit to the king’s palace, and a healer are all on the itinerary.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Tracking

Eat breakfast at six in the morning before setting out for your hike at eight in the morning. The park at the base of Mount Sabinyo is home to two habituated groups of Golden Monkeys, and guests are allowed to spend an hour with the tribe. Before you begin your hike, your driving guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will need to move as you follow golden monkeys as they forage for food because they are typically more active than gorillas. You can only spend an hour with them once you find them, after which you must begin the hike back. You can visit and appreciate the twin lakes on your way back.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking in volcanoes national park 

In order to observe mountain gorillas, you will be walking for three to six hours today, so start your day with a substantial meal. Today’s climb requires a good level of physical fitness and a good pair of boots. During your quest for the gorillas, the rangers will lead you into the dense bush, occasionally removing thick vegetation. You can virtually be sure that you will see the gorillas because they are constantly monitored for their own protection.

Despite a gradual increase in number, gorillas are still a severely endangered species. Due to their almost same genetic makeup, gorillas and humans can contract deadly diseases from one another through food or close contact. The animals must be kept at least 23 feet (7 meters) away from you in order to prevent this. You will be permitted to approach after the ranger has located the gorilla family, leaving your possessions aside. The guides will describe the habits of the animals and interpret their behavior. As the silverbacks eat, play, socialize, or simply sleep, you will witness females and their young, young males, and perhaps even a dominating silverback. Return to base after spending an hour with the gorillas.

Day 9: Cultural interactions (Gastura Village)

In order to get knowledge of local customs and traditional rural lifestyles, you will have the opportunity to visit with a local community today. As a distinguished visitor, you will be given access to houses and farms to see daily life and learn how to prepare a customary lunch. Return to the lodge for lunch after meeting people of different culture and also buying souvenirs, after spending time with the families and hearing local myths and tales.

Day 10: Transfer to Akagera\Wildlife viewing

Transfer to the Akagera National Park headquarters to begin your day, and then stop at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will head out for wildlife viewing on lake Ihema.  Keep an eye out for a number of bird species, such as the African fish eagle, the papyrus gonolek, and the highly sought-after shoebill stork, in addition to hippos and enormous Nile crocodiles.

Day 11: Game drive in Akagera  National Park 

Early in the m will head for a game drive around the park’s southern section in the morning.  Numerous sources of water, lowland wetlands, and gently sloping hills are what make this region noteworthy.  Travel to the lake’s road near Birengero and the giraffe habitat in the south.

Africa’s most famous animals can be found in Akagera National Park: lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and over a dozen antelope species are frequently seen during game drives.  Watch for the world’s largest antelope, the Cape Eland, the elusive bushbuck, impala, and oribi.

 Day 12: Second Game drive in Akagera National Park 

There will be more opportunities to see wildlife in the park today. After enjoying a leisurely lunch at the lodge, drive past any areas you might have missed yesterday.

Day 13: Transfer to Kigali (Visit mount Kigali)

Arrive in Kigali by lunchtime after making the morning transfer. For expansive views in the evening, take a leisurely trek to the summit of Mount Kigali, one of the city’s largest peaks. Enjoy a restful night and a leisurely dinner on your final night in Rwanda.

Day 14: Departure

You can choose to have indoor activities or out door activities like swimming as you wait for time to go to the airport (this is for night and late evening flights). For morning and afternoon flights you will have breakfast and head to the airport
