Day 1: Arrival at Kanombe airport
Upon your arrival , Meet the guide and transferring to Kigali City. Drive the three hours North of Kigali to Kinigi through Ruhengeri. Enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is well known. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel La Palme/Virunga Hotel/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (FB)
Day 2: Parc National des Volcans
Transfer to Kinigi Park Headquarters to track gorillas in Parc National des Volcans. Gorilla tracking through the forest, hills and swamps can be tough, arduous and tiring, sometimes taking up to 8 hours in the forest. But coming face to face with the great primates is well worth the effort. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel La Palme/Virunga Hotel/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (FB)
Day 3: Parc National des Volcans
Track the golden monkeys or climb the awesome Visoke volcano, or trek to Karisoke Research Centre which was set up by the famous primatologist Dian Fossey, or visit local communities. Day 4: Drive to Uganda via Kisoro
Transfer to Kisoro and on to Mgahinga Gorilla Park in Uganda. [Approximate driving time: 2 hours] Either guided nature walk in Gahinga or climb a volcano, visit the natural, beautiful-looking Lake Mutanda, surrounded by the volcanoes, take a walk on the shores. Day 5: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Forest
Gorilla tracking in Nkuringo, Ishongi or Congo Dinner and Overnight at Travellers Rest Hotel (FB)
Day 6:Drive lake Bunyonyi and Enjoy the boat Cruise
Go for the nature walk in the morning and in the after noon go for the boat ride on lake bunyonyi
Day7 : Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
A game drive en route is rewarding with a variety of animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, mongoose among others. Lunch en route and visit the crater lakes region then after retire for dinner and overnight at Budget – Albertine River camp, Moderate – Hippo hill camp, Luxury – Mweya safari lodge/ Kyambura Wildlife Lodge / Jacana Safari Lodge
Day 8: Drive Back to Kampala
Drive back to Kampala after morning game drive to caugh up with your flight.
