Detailed 6 Days Uganda Safari

Day 1: Kigali City tour & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be picked up by the tour guide for the Rwanda gorilla trek & enjoy a city tour of Kigali ( visiting the genocide memorials) and later continue to cross the border to Uganda’s Bwindi forest national park located in southwestern Uganda known for the mountain gorillas trekking & birding. The crossing border will be Katuna as the crossing is considered to be evening hours, arrive at the lodge in the late-night hour check in for dinner, and overnight at Bwindi Jungle Lodge, Ruhija camp, Buhoma Community Meals H/B.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi National Park

Early in the morning, your guide will transfer you to the Uganda wildlife authority park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking dos and don’ts, as the gorilla group is allocated within the section where your gorilla permit posts, after entering into the jungle forests to search for the endangers mountain gorillas. The movement may take around 2-5 hours depending on the gorilla movement & Feeding time, Seasonality of your visit. After returning to the lodge for relaxation, in case of time allows go for a community visit ( Nature Walk ). Dinner and overnight stay as Above.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After early morning breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park located in western Uganda known for the big five ( Tree Climbing lions ) & boat Cruise, Chimpanzee Tracking & Salt mining on lake Katwa. The drive may take around 2-3 hours to cover the journey to the park gate, before you enter the park, you will have lunch at Savannah Lodge and later go for the evening game drive in the Ishasha sector to see the tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, you will drive to the other sector of the park. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast at Bush lodge, you will transfer to Kyambura-gorge for the memorial Search for the Chimpanzee or Transfer to Kalinzu forest to visit the chimpanzee. Chimpanzee Tracking in Queen Elizabeth national park will reward you with learning about the chimps behavior, Diet & way of live. During this trek, you will see other birding species in the jungle forest and later return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for the evening boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George as you may spot other wildlife animals that you would have missed on the previous day game drive. Day5: Game Drive & Visit to the Salt Lake

After the morning breakfast, you will go for the lion experiential view where you will spot the wild lions in the famous national park of Queen Elizabeth National Park with the experienced tour guide and the ranger guide. This day is specifically to make sure you have seen the Lions in the wild ( An extraordinary Safari Activity in Queen Elizabeth) the Lion experience may last for 3 hours and later drive to the salt lake of Katwa to view the salt-making process in Uganda. Later go for lunch and late evening drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort Meals F/B.

Day6: Boat Cruise & Transfer to Kigali

After Morning breakfast, you will go for the boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi to visit the 48 islands on the lake, Visit the local communities and later transfer to Kigali to complete the few sightseeing sights that you missed on the first day of the safari. visit some of the Rwanda genocide memorial sites, Lunch en-route, then drop off at Kigali airport for your return flight.
