14 Days Uganda Safari Magical Adventure

The 14 Days Uganda Safari Magical Adventure starts and ends in Entebbe. It covers 2 gorilla destinations that is Mgahinga gorilla national park and Bwindi impenetrable national park. The trip will take you Lake Mburo national park which is Uganda’s smallest savannah national park and the park’s signature animals are Zebras. Your safari will Mgahinga gorilla national park where you will have a great time meeting the mountain gorillas. The journey will proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest which has half of the world’s mountain gorillas. The safari will continue to Queen Elizabeth national park which is famous for the tree climbing lions and the Kazinga channel boat cruise. You will also visit Kibale forest national park which is the primate capital and while there, you will have a chance of seeing quite a number of primates. You will proceed to Murchison falls national park which is Uganda’s largest savannah national park. You will visit lake Bunyonyi which is commonly known as the Switzerland of Africa. Finally! You will proceed to Jinja for white water rafting, horse riding and a boat cruise.

Detailed Itinerary: 14 Days Uganda Safari Magical Adventure

Day 1: Arrival & transfer to Lake Mburo national park

After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will be picked up by your driver guide and transfer to lake Mburo national park which is the among Uganda’s smallest savannah national parks. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge for relaxation to cut off the fatigue of the long flight.

Day 2: Morning & evening game drive

With an early breakfast, you will set out for the game drive through the park where your eyes will be fed with amazing sights and wildlife such as impalas, kobs, antelopes, also bird species.

Lake Mburo has a variety of antelopes including topi, duiker, Oribis, reedbuck and klipspringer and Rothschild giraffe have recently been reintroduced. However, the heights of the park have to be the Burch ells zebra and eland which are only found in two national parks in Uganda.

Day 3: Transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and head to Mgahinga gorilla national park. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the at the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking at Mgahinga

Well prepared with your packed lunch, cameras, water, rain jackets, long pair of trouser and hiking boots and other gear, you will assemble for briefing time at 8:00 am, find the rangers that will inform you about gorilla tracking the great adventure and experience! The time taken to encounter these peaceful primates is impulsive for it may take1-5 hours.

Nevertheless, on encounter, one may be forced to say, it is stunning!!!! After the adventure certificate rewards will be successful given out every trekker. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National park which is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda harboring an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population including several habituated groups, which you will trek. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge for relaxation as you contemplate on the gorilla trekking adventure that lies ahead of you.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Talks Experience

On this day you will proceed to the briefing point after an early breakfast with packed lunch. With an experienced park ranger, you will be tracking the whereabouts of one of the nine habituated family groups who live in the park. Your tracking experience will be an exciting, yet challenging, journey along forested (often muddy and slippery) slopes, tangled vines, thick vegetation and bamboo forests before you reach the territory of these gentle giants.

Depending on the location of the gorillas on any given day the walk can take anything from 2 to 7 hours. Once the family of gorillas has been located, settle in to your surroundings and enjoy the hour you have to quietly observe these fascinating primates whose habits and mannerisms remind us so much of our own.

Encountering the mountain gorillas in the wild is a truly humbling and emotional experience, one that you are sure to remember for the rest of your life.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. This national park is famous for a variety of wildlife and chimpanzee species. This famous conservation area is bordered by Lake Edward in the south west an in the north east, it’s bordered by Lake George. This park was named after queen Elizabeth the second and it has a variety of animal species including the impalas, kobs, forest hogs, elephants, buffaloes, tree climbing lions, and the cape buffaloes. This national park is also filled with many volcanic calderas which harbor many flamingos on several seasons.

Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.

Arise early enough and after breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive where you will see various animals like elephants, elands, antelopes, buffaloes, lions among others. After having your lunch at the lodge, you will transfer to Ishasha to see the famous tree climbing lions which can only be sighted at Queen Elizabeth in the Ishasha sector. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will do the afternoon set out for boat

cruise on Kazinga channel where you will see various of animals like crocodiles, hippos, water bucks, buffaloes as well as birds like the storks, king fishers among others.

Day 8: Transfer to Kibale national park

First day after an early breakfast, your driver guidewill transfer you to Kibale forest national park, this is the primate haven of Uganda with 13 primate species recorded including chimpanzees, red Colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys red tailed monkeys and potto’s of different types in evening relax overnight stay at;

Day 9: Chimpanzee habituation

Leave for morning chimpanzee habituation experience which will make you stay longer with the chimps more than the normal chimpanzee trekking, you enjoy almost full day with these great apes right from the time when they are still in their nest up the time they will be breast feeding their young ones and other daily activities, you stay with them for 4-6 hours, after proceed to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Murchison falls national park

After breakfast, you will continue your journey to Murchison falls national park with an en-route lunch. You can reach Murchison falls national park via the northern approach road and take the first game drive on the way to the ferry. Upon arrival at the park, you will check-in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

With your packed breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive with your guide who will help you spot a big number of wildlife found in the Park, you will be able to spot a lot of the African animal wildlife for example: elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds. After the game drive, you will have lunch and then set out for an afternoon boat cruise.

This boat will allow you get close to the water animals which include over 4000 hippos as well as the Nile crocodiles. The Nile has got many stunning bird lives which is also enjoyed while taking your boat trip; these include; the bee eaters, colored king fishers, shoebill stork, grey throated and the yellow billed birds. After the boat cruise, you will go for a rest at the lodge in the Evening as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 12: Rhino Tracking at Zziwa & transfer to Jinja

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then track you these black and white Rhinos. This sanctuary was established mainly to protect these rhinos from danger and poachers.

After rhino tracking, you will continue to Jinja with packed/ en-route lunch.

Day 13: White water rafting, Horse riding & boat ride on the Nile

Wake up your convenient time, have breakfast and transfer to the white water rafting starting point. The rafting takes you to the focal point of water rafting activities in Africa, as well as other adventures. You face the significant dare of the great river Nile while speeding through rapids with an experienced team. Conquer your eagerness and plunge down the rapids, then paddle between the eight rapids and take in the Nile’s breathtaking view.

After the rafting adventure, you will start on your horse-riding exercise. Please note that horse riding in Jinja does not require any experience since the team that operates horse riding offers basic training for first time horse riders. After horse riding, you will have lunch and then embark on the boat ride along the Nile.

In the evening have a sunset cruise along the Nile. Nothing beats an African sunset and particularly one along the Nile. End a great long day with good company, good food, and an ice-cold beer or gin and tonic.

Day 14: Transfer back to the airport for your flight

After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge for your final transfer back to the airport for the flight back home
