Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to travel or make use of the confirmed services, you may be subject to cancellation fees. Changing the period or dates of your already confirmed safari or any alteration will automatically be subject to availability of gorilla/chimpanzee permits and accommodation availability and may lead to a change in the safari quotation. Changing or completely cancelling an already confirmed reservation might potentially be considered as cancelling it. the cancellation policy will be enforced. If a refund needs to be issued for a booking deposit, please be aware that Gorilla permits and Chimpanzee permits Money is never refunded or recovered. Depending upon when the cancellation message comes in the refund calculation will be begin to be taken into consideration as follows.

The customer is solely responsible for any fees incurred due to cancellation, early departure or late arrivals, or no-show, and these fees will be charged appropriately as outlined below:

Accommodations:

  • 60 days -90 days 75% Refundable less the amount for the gorilla, Chimpanzee and golden monkey permits
  • 50 days – 60 days 50% refund less  the amount for the gorilla, chimpanzee and golden monkey permits
  • 30 days –49 days 40% refund, less the amount for the gorilla, chimpanzee and golden monkey permits
  • 30 days and below  No refund is made

Note: Cancellation after a deposit has already been made on accommodation will cause an automatic deduction of the money already paid to the accommodation from the total amount which is to be refunded to the client. Last minute booking: all clients that confirm trips is less than 1 month to the trip date are regarded as last minute booking. Such guests are therefore required to make full payment of the safari cost. Regarding travel during the peak season from June 1st –late September and December 19th to January 3rd, please note that any bookings cancelled after July 1st will result in a cost equivalent to 100% of the total safari cost.
