The 4 days Uganda gorilla trekking tour starts from Kigali international airport drive through the land of thousand hills crossing to the pearl of Africa’s most known national park of Bwindi for the lovely safari activity of Gorilla trekking & Later transfer to Mgahinga for golden monkey tracking safari experience.
Day 1: Pick up & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The Experienced tour guide of Rwanda gorilla trek will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali and enjoy a city tour of kigali visiting the genocide memorials , local markets and later drive to cross to Uganda enjoying the landscapes of the mountainous nature of Rwanda and Uganda. Cross the border and continue to drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park located in south western Uganda which is known as the home for the mountain gorillas. enjoy the relaxation at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Chameleon Hill Lodge/Nkuringo gorilla Camp/Ruhija Gorilla Resort/Nshongi gorilla resort. Meal plan: H/B
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park
After the early morning breakfast from the lodge, the guide will drive you to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking rules , regulations( dos and donts) After that you will drive to the starting point where you will walk into the jungle forests to search for the endangered mountain gorillas in the wild. The search includes hiking mountains and slopes as the experience is more enjoyable for all people old or young persons that age from 15 Yrs Old to Late 70s, 80, & 90s that is regarded as Elders Gorilla treks at Active African Vacations . The hike can be between 5 hours round trip, plus spending a full hour in the presence of an earth shaking silverback gorilla and its family. What an unforgettable experience! , after the return park headquarters for the certificate issue and later jump into the safari jeep to drive to kisoro town or at the foots of Mgahinga National Park dinner and overnight at Kisoro Travelers , Mutanda Resort. Day 3: Golden monkey tracking
After breakfast, we will drive to Mgahinga Gorilla Park for a scenic hike and have breifying for the golden monkey tracking rules and later enter into the jungle forest of Mgahinga National Park to search for the other virunga lovely primates of Golden Monkey , the trekking will reward you with the chance to spot other primates , birds and wildlife animals in the jungle. In the evening hours, you will take a nature walk in the local communities ( Self guided Nature Walk) . Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, dinner and overnight at Kisoro Traveler Rest Hotel. Day4: Boat Cruise & Transfer to Kigali.
After the morning breakfast, you will take a boat cruise on the second Africa’s deepest lake of lake Bunyonyi to visit Various islands on the lake like the punishment island . After lunch you will start to drive back to kigali with consideration that you booked a night flight , crossing will be via Katuna Border.
