9 Days Uganda Safari

Day1: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi Forest National Park

You will be picked up from either Entebbe airports or hotel in Kigali Rwanda and transferred to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park located in the southern part of Uganda. In case time allows you will visit the Genocide memorials and explore the remains of the Rwanda, viewing the landscapes of the thousand hills and the pearl of Africa on an expeditious adventure holiday. We will have lunch-en route as we enjoy the Rwandan countryside – certainly a ‘Land of A Thousand Hills’! The recommended border crossing is Katuna Border since travelers are advised to visit the Ruhija Sector for the gorilla trekking experience. Dinner and overnight stay at your option of lodge. Day2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park

In the morning, you will take an early breakfast at the lodge, and pack for a day in the park: water, a jacket, camera, and a packed lunch. Hiking boots and attire strongly recommended. We then proceed to the Bwindi Park Headquarters at 8:00am to check-in and learn about the various gorilla families. The hike can be between x-x hours round trip, plus spending a full hour in the presence of an earth shaking silverback gorilla and its family. After this magnificent experience you can take a rest at the hotel before we visit a Batwa cultural village. Dinner and overnight in Buhoma. Meal plan: F/B.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

We depart after breakfast to drive x hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will pass via Ishasha route where lions are known for climbing trees! We will drive slowly to hopefully catch a glipse of this unique behavior. We will check in to the Mweya safari lodge and enjoy lunch. After relaxing a bit you will go for the boat cruise at Kazinga Channel, which gives spectacular views of Lake George and Lake Edward. The area is swarming with hippos and buffaloes, and sometimes elephants! The Kazinga channel is also known for its diverse flocks of birds such as flamingoes, fish eaters, and others. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal plan: F/B.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park

We will rise early for breakfast and depart on a game drive around the Kasenyi area of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We hope to catch the animals in their morning routines – such as elephants, lions, warthog, antelopes and many more will be seen. We return to the lodge for lunch, and then travel to the Kyambura Gorge in the afternoon. Here chimpanzees and monkeys frolic in the trees! Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge. Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Today we depart Queen Elizabeth Park to drive to Kibale Forest National park (where in country). Our destination for the day is the Kanyanchu visitor information center and Bigodi swamps sanctuary. This is a home for 200 species of birds, butterflies plus eight different species of monkeys including grey-checked Mangabey. Dinner and overnight will be spent at the Chimps Nest Lodge. Meals: F/B.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park

Early in the morning after breakfast you will head for chimpanzee tracking, At Kibale, there is 95%of finding these unique primate therefore along the way, you will enjoy many of them, monkeys, birds and others. chimpanzee habituation is also offered around this park, but for this activity you have to spend a night at Kanyanchu visitor because its where the activity starts at 5:30am.Lunch will be got at chimps nest .After relaxing a bit you will go for village walk where you will be entertained by traditional dancers, drama performances and on Saturday, the Bamako women practice basket weaving and many more other activities. Dinner and overnight will be got at the Chimp Nest Lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Today is a travel day – but the scenery is beautiful on the way to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way we will pass many tea plantations and other crops grown on large scale in Fortportal, where we will also take lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Red Chill Rest Camp. Meal plan: F/B.

Day 8: Murchison Falls National Park

This morning we will take a game drive in the Biligi area between Albert and Victoria Niles. This is home to lions, elephants, antelopes and many more. For lunch and the afternoon tour we will visit Paraa Headquarters (ter, you will go for launch (boat??) trip. This area is known for its hippos, elephants and Pink-packed Pelicans birds! Dinner and overnight stay at at Paraa lodge/Murchison River lodge/Red chill rest camp. Meal plan: F/B

Day 9: Transfer to Kampala

We will rise for an early breakfast and take a nature walk along the north bank of th Nile (add fact about the nile.) Your guide will then take you back to Kampala with a lunch stopover at in the town of Masindi. You can be dropped off at the airport or hotel if you have other continuing plans.
