 Detailed itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel

Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be met and greeted by a professional driver guide who will welcome you to the pearl of Africa then assist you to the car. He will then transfer you to the hotel where you will settle down, share insights into your trip and then leave you to enjoy your rest and relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

After a restful night, wake up to a breakfast at the hotel after which you will check out and meet our company representative who will transfer you to Entebbe International airport for your transfer flight to Kisoro. Once in Kisoro, you will meet your designated safari guide who will then transfer you to your lodge for a lunch and an afternoon of relaxation.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking

The lodge will serve you a breakfast as early as 6:00am. After breakfast, well prepared with your packed lunch, water, cameras, garden gloves, rain jackets, long pair of trouser and hiking boots and other gear, you will assemble for briefing at the park headquarters at 8:00am, find the rangers that will take you through a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking, the great adventure! You will take 3-5 hours in the forest searching for these mountain gorillas and once you locate the gorillas, you will be allowed 1 hour in their presence. The time taken to encounter these gentle giants is quite impulsive nevertheless, on their encounter, you will be compelled to say… it’s stunning!

After the trek, you will return to the starting point where you will be awarded certificates for a successful trek. Return to the lodge later for an afternoon of relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Habituation Experience

Unlike the day before, today you will spend 4-hours with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Wake up for an early breakfast at the lodge and at 6:30am you will head out for the gorilla Habituation experience. Together with ranger guides, scientists and researchers, you will head out to meet this gorilla family under habituation as early as the time they leave their nest and follow them for 4-hours as they go about their daily activities. The hike in search of this gorilla family will take between 2-5 hours depending on how far the mountain gorillas had moved the day before. The park is steep therefore it is a real hike and being physically fit is highly recommended. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe and departure

Wake up to a breakfast at the lodge then check out and the driver guide will transfer you to Kisoro for your transfer flight to Entebbe. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by our company’s representative who will transfer you to the hotel for a lunch and relaxation then later he will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
