Detailed Itenary

Day 1: Arrival and rest in Tanganyika Hotel

A representative of our organization will greet you upon your arrival and take you to the hotel where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Bujumbura city tour

Start with breakfast in the morning and take a day trip to Bujumbura. Depending on the time we have, we can visit Rusizi National Park, where you can take a boat tour in the Rusizi River and see hippopotamus, many birds, and the point where the Rusizi River joins Lake Tanganyika. After that you can visit the explorers’ memorial; this a massive rock in the Bujumbura suburbs and it honors the meeting of the explorers Stanely and Living Stone.

Day 3: Karera waterfalls and source of the Nile.

We head to the Source of the Nile after breakfast, followed by the Karera waterfalls. We will see breathtaking tea plantations and scenery along the way, so you should bring your camera so you may take pictures. Day 4: Gishora’ s Drum Sanctuary

Head to Gishora’ s drum after breakfast. It is a renowned drum location in Burundi referred to as Gishora. It is found seven Kilometers from ga City Center. Gishora can be sighted at the top of a hill. Additionally, two ritual drums that were never beaten—Ruciteme, for whom we clear the forest, and Murimirwa, for whom we cultivate—can be found at the Gishora site. After lunch you will head for a city tour. The nation’s second-biggest town, Gitega, features classic colonial architecture. With its collections of archaeology and ethnography, it is home to the National Museum. Once you’ve driven to Bujumbura, spend the night at your accommodation of choice.

Day 5: Departure

You will have breakfast in the morning and later head to the airport for your flight back home.
