Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal Tanzania guide, who greets you with a broad smile: ‘Karibu Tanzania meaning welcome to Tanzania!’ The guide directs you directly to your hotel, allowing you to unwind and absorb the African ambiance. The following day, your guide escorts you on a private safari, enabling you to proceed at your preferred pace. Indulge in the opulence of your own personal safari jeep, allowing you the freedom to pause and observe the wildlife at your leisure.
Day 2: Arusha National Park
Enjoy your breakfast and drive to Arusha National Park where you will go on your game drive today. Black-and-white Colobus monkeys, uncommon albino baboons and tropical birds make this park near Arusha famous. You may be fortunate enough to see an albino, a rare bird species like the stunning Silvery Cheeked Hornbill, and the rare Colobus monkey. A lake, several craters, waterfalls, mountains, and picturesque grasslands are all features of the park.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park
Enjoy your breakfast and transfer to Tarangire National Park, a park with its famous attractions which include herds of elephants and an abundance of towering baobab trees. These trees can endure for centuries, and elephants use a unique method to extract water from them during the dry season. More than that, during the dry season in Tarangire, you can observe numerous creatures, including herds of up to 250 elephants, because the Tarangire River is the sole water source.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park
Adjacent to the Great Rift Valley, which is 400 meters deep, is Lake Manyara National Park, which is situated between Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. Various creatures can be seen roaming the park’s varied terrain. For instance, there’s the lake, the lush jungle teeming with birds and monkeys, the woodlands where you can get up close and personal with elephants, and the widely-known Manyara hippo pool, where hippos splash about from dawn ’til dusk.
Day 5 – 7: Serengeti National Park (central west/east)
The Great Migration travels through Serengeti National Park, making it famous as a safari destination. Impressive predator populations include nearly 4,000 lions, 225 cheetahs, 1,000 leopards, 3,500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs; the massive, stampeding herds are no less so. Plus, there are a plethora of other stunning creatures that your knowledgeable guide will be happy to help you spot.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area (incl. Crater)
Ngorongoro Crater is a world-renown natural wonder and one of seven in Africa. A massive eruption of the volcano two million years ago created the crater. Because of the rich lava, a new ecosystem has emerged, and it is currently home to more creatures than any other place in Africa! As you enter the crater, you’ll be greeted by an abundance of wildlife, including zebras, buffalo, black rhinos, and lions. The vistas are really breathtaking, and you won’t know where to begin gazing!
Day 9 – 10: The last day and your flight home from Kilimanjaro Int. Airport
This marks the end of our trip. On this day, you have the option to spend more time at the lodge relaxing before our driver transports you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight back home, depending on your flight time.
