A DETAILED ITINERARY FOR YOUR 4 DAYS SERENGETI AND NGORONGORO.

Day 1:  Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater.

Wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast at the hotel then your guide will drive you to Ngorongoro crater. The journey is approximately a 4 to 5 hours drive and you will be able to enjoy scenic views of the surrounding.

You can decide to make a stop over at a town known as Mto wa Mbu for refreshments and if time still allows you can do a local market tour.

You will have lunch and then later a game drive within the Ngorongoro crater. The crater is sometimes referred to as the Garden of Eden and is filled with vast wildlife. Some of the wildlife include the big five (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards) and also some other animals such as Zebras, hyenas, flamingos and many more.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park.

Early in the morning you will have your breakfast and then prepare to head to Serengeti National Park. On the way you can make a stop over at Olduvai gorge where the remains of the first old man were discovered.

You will be able to learn a variety of things while at the Gorge, and also a sight at the Masai people with their cattle.

Upon your arrival in Serengeti National Park, have lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive. Serengeti National Park is known for its remarkable wildlife such as cheetahs, giraffes. Depending on the time you visited, you can even witness the wildebeest migration.

Some of the animals include Zebras, gazelle’s, hyenas and many more. In the evening, you will have to go the lodge relax, have dinner and then rest.

Day 3: Full day Serengeti National Park.

Head out for your morning game drive, where you will be able to see a variety of animals including lions, cheetahs, leopards since animals usually wake up very early in order to hunt for their food.

You can enjoy a packed bush breakfast as you prepare for your afternoon game drive as you explore different parts of the park, such as Grumeti river for possible wildebeest crossings.

Day 4: Serengeti to Arusha.

In the morning, here you will make your final game drive within the Serengeti or you can opt for a hot air balloon safari.

From there embark on the transfer to Arusha. The journey by road is roughly a 6 to 7 hours drive. When you reach Arusha have lunch before going to the airport.
