2 days Uganda Silverback gorilla tour

This 2-days Uganda silverback gorilla safari will take you via the rolling hills and lush green vegetation of Rwanda across the Cyanika border to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable national park, a UNESCO’s world heritage sight famous for its gorilla trekking safaris.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met and greeted by a designated professional driver guide who will welcome you to Rwanda. He will then give you insight into this safari after which you will board your safari vehicle and embark on a scenic drive with beautiful views of the Virunga mountain ranges across the Cyanika border to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. On arrival, check in at your gorilla lodge where you will have your lunch and enjoy the rest of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the lodge amenities.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kigali

Wake up early morning for a breakfast at the lodge then pick up a packed lunch and at 6:30am your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you to the park headquarters for the gorilla trekking briefing. At 8:00am, the briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking by a ranger guide will commence. After the briefing, you will be grouped into 8 and each group assigned a gorilla family to visit. Your driver guide will then transfer you to the trailhead where you will leave to trek the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. The trek for the mountain gorillas will take you between 3 to 6 hours and once you locate the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed 1-hour in their presence observing them and taking photos.

2 days Uganda Silverback gorilla tour After the trek, you will hike out of the forest where you will be awarded certificates for a successful trek. You will then meet your driver guide and drive back to Kigali where he will drop you off either at your hotel or Kigali international airport for your onward flight.
