Detailed Itinerary of 6 Days Honeymoon Safari in Uganda  

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and be transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Spend the rest of the day at rest recovering from Jetlag.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will meet your driver- guide and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stop at the Equator Crossing in Kayabwe and lunch in Mbarara. Continue to Bwindi Forest, driving through the Kisoro Hills – referred to as the Switzerland of Africa while enjoy the beautiful views of the terraced hills. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, check-in and spend the rest of the day at rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today we meet the endangered mountain gorillas – the gentle giants of the rainforest in their natural habitat. Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver and head to the park headquarters with your lunch boxes, join other visitors for briefing about gorilla trekking and the right way to behave while in the presence of the gorillas. A senior ranger guide will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the presence of the gorillas.

In groups of 8 people, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek and head into the forest searching for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. Once you locate your gorilla troop, spend an hour in their presence watching them play, feed and groom each other. You will be amazed with their striking resemblance to human beings.

Retrace back to the starting point, meet your ranger guide and return to your lodge for relaxation. Later, head to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience, here you will be entertained by local dances and drama, get a taste of some local dishes and witness different aspects of the life of these forest people. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After a leisurely breakfast you will check out of the lodge and drive to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi – the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest in Africa. This scenic lake is famous for its 29 islands and steep green terraces, because it lacks hippos, crocodiles and bilharzia, it is a safe spot for swimming.

Arrive in time for lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing , take a walk along the shores of this beautiful lake and you can take a swim in the cool waters. Later, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Relaxation and Canoe Experience

As you hop from one island to another you will be able to see several beautiful birds and enjoy scenic views of the terraced hills.
