Day 1: Proceed to Queen Elizabeth Park, partake in an afternoon boat excursion on the Kazinga Channel, and engage in an evening game drive.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
At approximately 6:30 am, following breakfast at your accommodation in Kampala, our safari guide will collect you for a 420 km (approximately 6–7 hours) journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the second largest park in Uganda, which is home to over 95 mammal species, including four of the African safari Big Five, excluding rhinoceroses.
You will travel westward through Uganda’s picturesque green countryside, beside stunning savannah grasslands featuring several banana plantations and several herds of remarkable local long-horned Ankole cattle endemic to this region.
Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and have lunch, followed by a transport to Mweya jetty for a two-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel commencing at 2 PM. Kazinga Channel is a 32-kilometer natural waterway linking Lake George to Lake Edward. During the voyage, you will encounter the world’s biggest concentration of hippos in a single spot, alongside more than 100 bird species (both migratory and resident), as well as elephants, buffalo, and crocodiles sunning themselves at the water’s edge along the canal.
The trip will provide an exceptional opportunity for photography, avian observation in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and wildlife viewing within the park. You will depart from the boat trip and go on an evening game drive along the channel track to observe wildlife during their evening activities. Proceed to secure accommodations for the night.
