A native guide will lead you on a picturesque 40-minute hike from Materuni to the breathtaking 70-meter-high waterfall. The route winds its way through tropical rain forests and valleys at an altitude of 2,500 meters, providing breathtaking panoramas as it passes through coffee, banana, and avocado plantations.

Day 3: Arusha National Park

Embark on your journey to Arusha National Park where you will go on your game drive today! The black-and-white Colobus monkey, uncommon albino baboons and tropical birds make this park near Arusha famous. You may be fortunate enough to see an albino, a rare bird species like the stunning Silvery Cheeked Hornbill, and the rare Colobus monkey. A lake, several craters, waterfalls, mountains, and picturesque grasslands are all features of the park.

Day 4-5 : Tarangire National Park

Embark on your journey to Tarangire national park   which is  famous  for attractions that include herds of elephants and an abundance of towering baobab trees. These trees can endure for centuries, and elephants use a unique method to extract water from them during the dry season. More than that, during the dry season in Tarangire, you can observe numerous creatures, including herds of up to 250 elephants, because the Tarangire River is the sole water source.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park

Adjacent to the Great Rift Valley, which is 400 meters deep, is Lake Manyara National Park, which is situated between Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater. Various creatures can be seen roaming the park’s varied terrain. For instance, there’s the lake, the lush jungle teeming with birds and monkeys, the woodlands where you can get up close and personal with elephants, and the widely-known Manyara hippo pool, where hippos splash about from dawn ’til dusk.

Day 7: A taste of culture – Mto wa Mbu: Mountain bike ride & Maasai village

Hidden among the surrounding Maasai grasslands, the settlement of Mto wa Mbu stands out as a verdant oasis near Lake Manyara National Park. Ride a mountain bike through this charming town to learn about its history, see the verdant landscape, and pass past the banana plantations. After that, dismount your bike and get off to learn about the Maasai culture at a neighboring community.

Day 8 – 9: Lake Natron

Lake Natron is an extraordinary location in northern Tanzania, situated immediately above the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Photographers walk past the alkaline lake’s famous crimson hue. That is, until the flamingos arrive in droves in August and October, turning the lake an even more vibrant shade of pink. The mirror-like lake, the surrounding volcanic mountains, and the dry, dusty environment all come together to form a raw and otherworldly beauty that you will not soon forget.

Day 10 – 12: Serengeti National Park (central west/east)

The Great Migration travels through Serengeti National Park, making it famous as a safari destination. Impressive predator populations include nearly 4,000 lions, 225 cheetahs, 1,000 leopards, 3,500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs; the massive, stampeding herds are no less so. Plus, there are a plethora of other stunning creatures that your knowledgeable guide will be happy to help you spot. Will you be able to handle this?

Day 13:Ngorongoro Conservation Area (incl. Crater)

Ngorongoro Crater is a world-renown natural wonder and one of seven in Africa. A massive eruption of the volcano two million years ago created the crater. Because of the rich lava, a new ecosystem has emerged, and it is currently home to more creatures than any other place in Africa! As you enter the crater, you will be greeted by an abundance of wildlife, including zebras, buffalo, black rhinos, and lions. The vistas are really breathtaking, and you won’t know where to begin gazing!

Day 14: Empakaai Crater hike

At an almost-end-of-the-world location, the Empakaai Crater lies about 40 kilometers northeast of its renowned big brother, the Ngorongoro Crater. About 45 minutes of walking time is required to descend from the rim to the lake at the base of the crater. As the lake is frequently adorned with flocks of flamingos, a pinkish hue greets you. On clear days, the magnificent Ol Donyo Lengai may be made out in the scenery from the crater rim, which makes for really breathtaking vistas.

Day 15: Visit Lake Eyasi and the Hadzabe tribe.

Enjoy your breakfast and  arrange for your day trip to Lake Eyasi and the local Hadzabe people which is so  fascinating. For birdwatchers, there is no better place than the seasonal shallow salt lake known as Lake Eyasi, which is located south of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Look for hippos in the shallows, and then use your binoculars to see animals like pied avocets, great white pelicans, flamingos, gray-headed gulls, and African spoonbills. The Hadzabe bushmen are archery experts.

Day 16: The last day and your flight home from Kilimanjaro Int. Airport

This marks the end of our safari. Get some more rest at the lodge before our driver drives you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your trip back home.
