10 DAYS TANZANIA WILDLIFE SAFARI AND CULTURE GROUP TOUR

Day 1: Arusha – Arusha National Park

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at around 07:30am and drive on a tarmac road 38km to Arusha National Park (552 Km2) with packed lunch. Over 400species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. A combination of the forest reserve, the Momella Lakes and the Ngurdoto crater does the magic. A closer look at the birds can be arranged with a walking Safari or canoeing. Over 400 species recorded in such a small park is quite an impressive count. Momella Lake is one of the best places in Tanzania to see water birds, flamingo, pelican, little grebe, a variety of herons, ducks and waders are common. Also Hart lab, turaco, eagles, Lesser & Greater Flamingos, p orchards, geese, hammer Kop, red shark, spur winged goose, woodpecker, secretary bird, gray parrot. Other animals such as Zebras, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Water bucks, Colobus monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Baboons and many others reside here. Dinner and overnight at Arusha Outpost Lodge.

Day 2: Arusha  to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer from Arusha national park  to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population especially the large elephant herds, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time thousands of animals- wildebeest, buffalo, and Oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Africa Safari Lake Manyara Lodge

Day 3: African Safari in Lake Manyara then drive to Lake Natron.

After breakfast  you will drive on a tarmac road 40km with a lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon of game viewing. Start the game drive through underground water forest, proceed to acacia woodland savanna open land, pass by hot water spring, and proceed to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is home for many flamingos and other water birds. The park is home to tree climbing lions, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, blue and velvet monkey, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded here. You will have a picnic lunch, then drive to Lake Natron. You will have dinner and overnight at Lengai Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Game drive in Lake Natron then transfer to  Serengeti National Park

Early in the morning before  breakfast  at sunrise you will enjoy the spectacular tour in the soda ash of Lake Natron and the beautiful waterfall flowing from highlands toward the direction of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lake Natron is lying in a beautiful scenic area below the Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Natron has such a high concentration of sodium, that the water is often viscous to the touch. There is good game viewing and birding in this harsh landscape with dry country species such as gerenuk, lesser kudu, and Oryx. Natron is also the only known breeding ground for East Africa’s millions of lesser flamingos which cover the lake between August and November, then drive with game en route to Serengeti for dinner and overnight at  Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Lodge.

Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast we start a day with the morning game drives in Serengeti National Park marveling at the stunning scenery, ever changing light and always entertaining wildlife. At 12:30am, you will have a stopover in the park for a picnic lunch. After lunch, we set off again for an afternoon game drive till sunset 06:30pm when you drive to the Camp under the beautiful sunset for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti.

Early morning after breakfast head out for a morning and afternoon game drive in the park. Later in the afternoon, you will continue with game viewing towards the north east of the park. This is the Kogatende area where the main path of the Serengeti Wildebeest migration has passed. Dinner and overnight is at Mara Heritage Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 7: Full Game Drive to Mara River Crossing.

Today you will leave after breakfast and with a packed lunch you will drive as you follow the migrations paths depending on the location of the migration. You will spend the day following the great migration of about 1.5 millions Wildebeests and 500,000 Zebras migrating through the Serengeti Ecosystem. Dangers are everywhere and packs of lions, cheetahs and other carnivores are everywhere waiting for the right moment to strike. Crocodiles in the Serengeti river have no mercy as on the herds as they cross the Mara river. Thousands are swept by the arrogant waters and the scenes are amazing. Later in the early evening you will drive to   Mara Heritage Tented Camp for  dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, depart from Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. You will first enjoy an early morning game drives in Serengeti then head back to the campsite. Later, you will check out and drive with your packed lunch while enjoying a game viewing en route to the Ngorongoro Crater rim for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 9:  Ngorongoro Crater Tour then transfer to Lake Eyasi

Leave at 6:00am from the camp just after breakfast, drive to the crater for a full day of game drive. The highlights of this safari includes the rare spotted black rhino, big game animals, and the stunning crater floor. Stop at the picnic site for lunch at 2:00PM and after lunch make game en route to Ascent the Crater and drive to lake Eyasi to visiting Bush man tribe. Arrive at 05:00 PM. Take a time to visit lake Eyasi for sunset then drive back for dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

Day 10: Lake Eyasi tour then transfer to Arusha

Early in the morning after a breakfast, you will leave the Camp and go to visit The Hadzabe people who are the original hunter-gatherer population of Africa. Here you will learn the history of these people and go hunting with them after that we visit another tribe called Taturu sometimes known as Mang’ati who still live in their traditional way. Then drive back to the Camp for breakfast and lunch together. Later drive back to Arusha for your flight back home.

 About the Lodge:

You will take the Serengeti heritage which is  central to Serengeti, the place where you can  see  the great migration. And Mara Heritage Tented camp which is in the Northern part of Serengeti where Migration crossings take place.

About Migration

From July to October the great  migration will be from  Central  to Southern Serengeti which is Ndutu Area. So you will have enough time to explore it.

About the Safari Vehicle

We use a Toyota Land cruiser 4×4 and every client must have a window seat.

Maasai tribe is only tribe in Tanzania which is still leaving in the culture so I will offer you to visit them.
